What do we offer?
OPS’s core services are purchasing from suppliers and wholesalers, short-term storage and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
We arrange next day delivery for all available products ordered by 2 pm Monday to Friday (with the exception of refrigerated items which are not dispatched on Fridays except by special arrangement). Our latest product range and prices are published in our regularly updated catalogue which we supply to customers monthly and can be viewed in the customer section of the website (restricted access).

Supply of Pharmaceutical Products
We mainly supply those lines where we can negotiate a better deal than would available to individual organisations or where we can provide clear advantage in terms of storage and distribution logistics. OPS does not aim to meet all of the pharmaceutical needs of its customers – even for our largest customers.
Our product lines include a broad range from anaesthetics to surgical dressings. We are happy to discuss our catalogue with colleagues in hospital trusts to go into the range in more detail.
Many, but not all, of the lines supplied by OPS are purchased within the framework of national and local contracts negotiated by the Commercial Medicines Unit (CMU). Others lines are negotiated with suppliers or wholesalers thtat are able to offer particular ‘deals’.
Short-term storage
We operate from a warehouse which has controlled temperature storage facilities. We can offer short-term storage so that our customers can receive products at the most suitable time for them according to use. Some of our customers use this service to alleviate their own storage difficulties at peak times.
Distribution
We use the pharmaceutical thermologistic specialist Polar Speed, who offers us (and therefore our customers) a highly regulated, temperature controlled, quality and reliable distribution service.
